On October 3, the National Library of Dushanbe hosted a master class “Venture investments: development prospects”.

The master class was held with the aim of increasing the potential of startups, as well as bringing together venture investors and startups to develop the venture capital market of the Republic of Tatarstan.

This event was opened with an opening speech by representatives of the State Investment Committee and the director of the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan - Dilshod Jurazoda, noting the importance and necessity of developing the venture ecosystem in Tajikistan.

The speakers of the master class were representatives of Kazakhstani and foreign venture investment funds:

▶️ Max Hurwitz, CEO of VitoshaVenture, spoke about the importance of developing venture investments in Tajikistan and shared foreign and regional experience in attracting investments in startups.

▶️ Anuar Lenzat - COO of Most Ventures, showed the main role of the participants in the venture ecosystem and donors, and also offered a number of recommendations that will help improve and stimulate the growth of investment in projects.

▶️ Ravshan Kurbanov, the founder of the Tajikistan Venture Capital project, showed at what stage the development of venture capital in Tajikistan is now.

The final stage of the master class was a panel discussion on the topic: “Goals and priorities of the venture ecosystem in Tajikistan - why is this important?” where ministries, departments, the donor community and corporations gave feedback and recommendations on how to support the venture environment, develop talents so that startups reach a new level 📊
